Dear John,

After the debate during our brief conversation I understood why you made an erroneous statement in your closing.  You were honest about where you saw this and why you thought it.  I was honest about my intentions.  I have not discussed this further.  In a perfect world we could have all the time to review what we write for any potential misunderstandings.  The next best thing is to clarify miscommunications when they happen and have all parties move on with a better understanding.
